Safe and Secure Book Club

Muskoka Family Network hosts a monthly Safe & Secure Book Club starting Tuesday, January 25, for families supporting a person with a disability. The book, Safe & Secure: Seven Steps on the Path to a Good Life for People with a Disability, was written for families struggling with planning for their loved one’s future.

Space is limited. Deadline to register is Monday, January 17, 2022. Cost is $5.

The book club will meet the last Tuesday of the month from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM for six months. Dates:

A facilitator will guide the club in conversations about the book’s chapters:

1. Clarifying your vision
2. Nurturing Friendship
3. Creating a Home
4. Making Sound Decisions
5. Achieving Financial Security, Wills, Trust and the RDSP
6. Advocating with empathy
7. Securing your plan
