International Day of Persons with Disabilities

The United Nations celebrates International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3.

The day promotes an understanding of disability issues and rallies support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities. The 2022 theme is “Transformative solutions for inclusive development: the role of innovation in fuelling an accessible and equitable world“.

The theme will spark discussion on the following topics:

• Innovation for disability inclusive development in employment
• Innovation for disability inclusive development in reducing inequality
• Innovation for disability inclusive development: sport as an exemplar case
