District of Muskoka awards Community Living Huntsville with 2023 IDEA Community Grant
The District of Muskoka has announced that Community Living Huntsville is one of nine successful applicants for its 2023 IDEA Community Grant.
IDEA stands for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Anti-Racism. The district’s IDEA Community Grant program aims to create opportunities for community engagement and public education around the IDEA principles: Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Anti-Racism or Anti-Hate.
The district has awarded our not-for-profit organization up to $2,500 for our Disability Employment Awareness and Outreach proposal. The grant will help us fund enhanced advocacy and education tools, such as a new video, to promote disability inclusion in employment and empower local employers to create and grow inclusive workplaces.
Since 1990, Community Living Huntsville has offered a community-based Supported Employment program for workers with disabilities and provided Employment Services for employers to create and grow inclusive workplaces. You can learn more about our services for employers on our website.
Community Living Huntsville is a not-for-profit, registered charity that supports and advocates alongside more than 300 children and adults, and their families, to live, work, and play in unique and purposeful ways in North Muskoka.
